The Brown County Historical Society invites the public to attend A Tribute to Mothers: Tea Steeped with Totally Exquisite Apron on Thursday, May 12 at Turner Hall. Lunch at 12:00 – Program at 12:30. Wear an apron to qualify for the door prize drawing.
Join us celebrating Mothers with Storyteller, Yvonne Cory. Cory uses her extensive heirloom collection dating from 1800’s to share stories about the textile arts, her teapot collection, as well as historical and cultural information. Serving tea was a unique time to wear an extraordinary apron for holidays, parties, weddings, and teahouse servers. Historical tea information, 35 special aprons and 15 teapots provide a glimpse of past elegance.
The event is open to the public. Tickets must be purchased in advance; tickets will not be available at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce and at the Brown County Museum. For more information, call the BCHS at 507- 233-2621 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
