The Brown County Historical Society (BCHS) will hold its 96th Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 12th, 2026, at Turner Hall in New Ulm, MN. The night will begin with socializing at 5:30 PM followed by dinner at 6:00 PM. The business meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and the program will follow immediately after the business meeting.

Our featured speaker for the evening will be Dr. Anita Talsma Gaul presenting “The (Not So) Invisible Empire: The KKK in Southwest Minnesota in the 1920s”. The brief but intense presence of the KKK in Southwest Minnesota is a hidden chapter in the region’s history and one that merits closer scrutiny.
