Terry Sveine will present: What Happened to the Animals? Re-examining New Ulm During the U.S. Dakota War

Terry Sveine is a graduate of Mankato State University with a degree in history and geography.  He worked in the areas of travel and tourism for over 30 years including 15 years as the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce’s tourism manager.

Sveine currently serves as Mayor of New Ulm and he volunteers for many organizations in New Ulm. He serves on the board of the New Ulm Turnverein. He is past president of the Brown County Historical Society and still volunteers in the archives and as a tour guide.

He is an author and his most recent book is on the life of New Ulm resident Francis Baasen which will be published in the near future.
